House # 18

What can I write about? I guess I could talk about my new house. A word to the wise- do not ever build a new house. There are nothing but hassles from start to finishyell. Not that we are anywhere near finished but we will be one day.

Guess what, I added this post using Zoho writer.Still learning new tricks.

Technorati #14

Well I have claimed this blog as my very own. Hands off everyone else.

Technorati has some great sites tagged . It gets a bit distracting browsing through so many items of interest. Should be leaving a trail of breadcrumbs so I can find my way home again.

Still working on the bits of HTML, seems like black magic. I guess I don't need to understand how it works just how to use it.

Thingy # 13 del.icio.us

What a great way to keep all the interesting bits neat and tidy. I think it would be fantastic for keeping up when travelling. The fact that I will be able to access my bookmarks from work will make life easier. The security software which stops items from being retained after switching off has proved frustating in the past and now I can overcome the dilemma of my lack of memory ( personal not pc)

Roll your own #12

Well this is one I really liked.Nothing is more annoying that trolling through bucketloads of irrelevant sites to find what you are really looking for. Now all I need is the time to find the rest of my dream sites and roll them into my own neat package.

Library Thing # 11

Well my library is looking a bit thin. I think the problem is that because we are between houses the library is actually in storage boxes and the old memory is not what it used to be. I also seem to be generating problems for Librarything each time I enter. Just can't get it to change views very well. I have been following the signs I see along the way and hopefully have correctly added the widget.

Well this is really a whole lot of fun. If my computer at home was being more co-operative I could have created a million things with my photos using the following image generator.

RSS

Thank heavens for really simple tutorial on how to set up a bloglines account. Once I really got on a roll it was hard to stop myself. There are so many interesting sites out there once you start looking the possibilities are enormous. Hopefully I will benefit from reducing the aimless wandering which usually accompanies my ventures into cyber space.
This link should lead you to my public bloglines account.

Technology # 7

I find it truly amazing watching the children around me embracing technology so easily . Webcams, ipods, WiFi are as much fun as colouring books and dress-up dolls. If only I had been able to use a computer when I was very young I am sure I would be a much better typist, emailer, blogger, cataloguer......
Being shown how to rectify computer glitches by a 10 year old is a strange experience. I console myself with the knowledge that his father is paid to be a computer whiz.
I am hoping that Learning 2.0 will help me look at new technology with the same type of enthusiasm as a child and have the same sort of fun

Thing # 6 more flickr fun

Fantastic tools

This is absolutely fantastic. They have really made this process user friendly ( or at least for this user) My mind is spinning with ideas. Who said you can't teach an old nana new tricks

Trading Card

Still experimenting with Flickr. I seem to go round in circles a great deal. 15 minutes a day to play with all these new things is'nt nearly enough. Must get myself some new photos too.

Had a bit of difficulty tying the pictures to the previous post but now I have it mastered ( fingers crossed) there will be no stopping me. Well maybe mastered it is a small exageration as I haven't obtained quite the result I expected.

Photo fun

My topic for photo display is reading Library books (of course) at Nan's house on the weekend. Grandkids and lttle dogs alike enjoy books and photos, or photos of books or is it books of photos? Its all a bit confusing when you are trying to get the little poto show ponies to act naturally and not give those cheesy grins for the camera. Yes even the little dog.

Late Start

Due to a series of unfortunate events (with apologies to Lemony Sniket) I have made a late start to Learning 2.0.
Nevertheless, I have launched with enthusiasm into the concept of life-long learning. The process is habitual but the handle is new.
By completing the first three activities of the 23 "things", I have already learnt some new tricks - as indicated by the fact that this blog exists!!
